It's time for the Great British Spring Clean 2025!

There are lots of ways we can all help our environment, both locally and globally. This week, beginning 24th March, is the Great British Spring Clean organised by Keep Britain Tidy.

Great news - it's so easy to help out during your visit to Whitlingham Country Park! Help us take care of our wildlife and this beautiful park by taking part in a litter pick at any time of the year.

Check out our fabulous litter picking station at the Flint Barn Cafe:

Going for a walk?

It's so easy to take a litter picker and bag with you to do your bit for nature as you explore.

Here's what to do:

Kids often have a great eye for spotting litter. This is the perfect opportunity to instil positive environmental habits in the next generation. We hope you won't find much litter at Whitlingham, but sadly you will probably find some, even if it wasn't left deliberately.

If you have a young person with you on a litter pick, they could even apply for a Blue Peter 'green' badge for doing something great for the environment. Find out how through the Blue Peter website. Please note, badges cannot be obtained through the park, only direct from Blue Peter.

Good luck and thanks! 🌍
